Windows 8 BSOD System Service Exception

Microsoft Staff and others:

Issue for me: g585 Lenovo. Just started doing this AFTER performing some Microsoft updates this morning... what if the issue is Microsoft?

And could the issue be malware, or does it have to be a legitimate software/driver issue?

Note: It seems that Microsoft staff seem to be saying that THEY HAVE NO IDEA what causes this and IT COULD BE ANYTHING. This is ****! Windows 8 should not even have a BSOD or be able to fail like this! We need a support/FAQ page on this issue on Microsoft's website ASAP.

Here is what I have learned, since my post.  Windows 8 does NOT work with 3rd part programs. 

Period. 

I have removed Google Chrome and AVG - leaving my only antivirus now to the built in Win8 windows defender (Lord help me!)  .. and so far (touch wood) I have not been having any further issues.  All current programs on my computer either came with the computer when I bought it in December, or are Microsoft related/affiliated.

For my computer with Windows 8 to not function correctly with other software is just ridiculous.  I have have to say that I call BS on this!  This to me is a CLEAR and blatant attempt of a monopoly on Microsoft's behalf.  Right down to the very accounts we must creat with Microsoft, the email addresses must be MS affiliated ie Hotmail.  My main email is a @bell.ca which is accepted world-wide .. but not with MS.  What is that even about??

I am not a child and do not appreciate a corporation effectively telling me what programs I can or cannot use, by virtue of the fact that if they are not within the MS family - they will not work on the computer we paid good money for.  Then adding insult to injury by having people do safe boots and collecting minddump files is outrageous.  Why is it incumbant on the customer to become an IT in order to use your dysfunctional product?  FIX YOUR PROBLEMS and don't put them on us!

As another member wrote, don't get too comfortable MS - you are not the only game in town.  And much like RIM - you, too can be easily replaced.

One thing I know for sure .... much like leaving my blackberry in favor of an iphone ... my next computer will be a MAC.

I had no problems with Windows 8 besides the layout (But that's just a matter of getting used to it) until I installed the recent update. Since then, I have been getting this System_Service_Exception error randomly while surfing the internet, no matter which browser I use. Very annoying to say the least, as it is always when I am in the middle of something, or a conversation. Would removing the most recent update help, and if so, how would I go about doing this?

I did a "Remove everything and reinstall Windows".

I deleted as much of the ASUS software (bloatware) as I could, and now the laptop is running without any problems.

Windows 8 doesn't work well with 3rd-party software.

goodmorning, the reinstalation had helpt. only i needed to instal all my apps again. the problem was with AVG en WIndows Defender. The don't run together very well. My gues is the windows defender don't like other programs so much;-)

Ow for your information, in safe mode the pc also runs dark after a while. It only takes long enough for closing the app wich is causing the error.

What i have done is startup in safe mode

directly open configuration close all optional apps.

then open one by one the apps again. (check by date when a program was installed and then go backwards)

so can you see wich app is causing problems.

uninstal the program and delete.
