Silverlight and Windows 8 RT

Hi,

I would like to know what the situation with Silverlight and Windows 8 RT. All the information out there seems to point to Windows 8 RT not supporting Silverlight, is this a permanent decision?

Consequently, a number of services that require Silverlight such as LOVEFILM are now inaccessible on Windows 8 RT. What is Microsoft's plan to fix this? Does Microsoft expect these services to ditch Silverlight in favour of a HTML5/Javascript?

hey ... when will silverlight be available ? ... please answer the question and not direct me to some ... I bought this machine thinking I could watch my Ilovefilm subscription ... it can not. Should I return my machine and buy something else I'm asking myself. The cynic in me notes one can watch films on xbox a very expensive service ... is this a ploy ? ... do i need to start raising awareness on twitter ??

I am having the same problem. Have bought the Surface RT only for the purpose of running my accounts smoothly but, cannot do it at all! Very disappointed!!! It is such an useful tool, and without the Silverlight the Surface RT is simply useless for me.

Will it ever change?
