Microsoft should release a statement regarding Silverlight and it's plans. To have such major services such as LOVEFILM unavailable on Windows RT is not really acceptable.

Hi,
I would like to know what the situation with Silverlight and Windows 8 RT. All the information out there seems to point to Windows 8 RT not supporting Silverlight, is this a permanent decision?
Consequently, a number of services that require Silverlight such as LOVEFILM are now inaccessible on Windows 8 RT. What is Microsoft's plan to fix this? Does Microsoft expect these services to ditch Silverlight in favour of a HTML5/Javascript?

2013-01-09T17:43:36+00:00 It would be nice to know about the future of Silverlight - and whether Silverlight support is coming to IE 10 (metro version).
Netflix uses Silverlight for video streaming, but thankfully there's a Netflix app for Windows RT. Hopefully a LoveFilm app is coming for Windows 8/RT.

Basically either whoever MS appoints to answer doesn't even know silverlights future on Win RT (if it even has any) or MS simply doesn't want to come say 'NO it's never going to be supported we've killed our own platform'.
We all know it doesn't work now the answer everyone wants to know is WILL IT!?

Steve Jobs killed Silverlight with one statement: "There will be no plugins on the iPad... The future is HTML 5..." He is laughing in his grave with Satan.
On the other hand, it works just fine on Windows 8 and should work on Surface Pro... So if a few sites need to provide support for WinRT, they already had to cross that bridge for the competitor platforms anyway. Silverlight will be supported by MS for 10 years ending in 2021 I believe... Bing it.
