Silverlight and Windows 8 RT

Hi,

I would like to know what the situation with Silverlight and Windows 8 RT. All the information out there seems to point to Windows 8 RT not supporting Silverlight, is this a permanent decision?

Consequently, a number of services that require Silverlight  such as LOVEFILM are now inaccessible on Windows 8 RT. What is Microsoft's plan to fix this? Does Microsoft expect these services to ditch Silverlight in favour of a HTML5/Javascript?

    Microsoft Lync which is a part of Microsoft office now requires Silverlight. Every second corporation uses Lync nowadays. There is Lync app in the store but it does not work.

    Not only that, but their very own BING street view does not work on the Bing maps website!

    Totally useless!

    JavaScript doesn't work either.

    Chat rooms don't work.

    Some websites with built in Private messaging don't work...

    Certain movies don't play back natively (no codec), and those that do, often do at 15FPS on the Surface (for 480p video). It plays back 720p at those same stuttering framerates as well.

    RT is just a pain if you ask me!
