You're getting error 0x800f0906 because you have KB3022345 installed. Uninstall it by going to Programs and Features in Control Panel and then click the link to "View installed updates".

In the Search box top right, copy/paste (or type) KB3022345 and when it appears in the list, right click it and choose Uninstall.

    Hi David,

I totally agree with Phil that DISM is a repair tool. SFC scan and DISM all check for the system files are they working fine or not. IF SFC scan is not finding any violations then for now you may leave it but in future if you face any such issue or different please try to run the scan again and check the status.

Basically the error message which you are getting deals with .Net Framework but as you are not facing any issue with it so I would suggest you to ignore it for now.

Do keep us updated and feel free to get in touch with us if you face in issue with Windows, we will be happy to assist you.

    Regards.

    Hi,

I'm not an expert, but I believe that DISM is just a repair tool. So if your sfc is coming up clean then you should be okay. Try querying the MS tech again to see what they say.

    Best Regards,

    Phil P.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

I found this thread as I was having problems buying apps from the Windows Store.  I was getting alternate errors either giving me an error code or saying that my internet connection was too slow, even though I have a very good internet download speed.

I followed the advice of a few people on here running sfc then dism over and over rebooting each time.  My sfc started off with errors but now that runs clean although the dism still has them.  Then after I sent my message on here last night I ran a full Windows Defender scan.  I just left it running all night.  Now this morning I found the scan had finished but it didn't say it had found anything or not.  So I tried the app store and apps are now installing fine!  I then tried the dism and that is still giving me the error code 0x800f0906 saying the source files could not be downloaded.

That said, my problem has been solved as apps now install.  I don't know whether to continue to try to solve this dism error or just leave well alone for now.

    Thanks

    David
