How do you turn off Fullscreen mode in Windows 8?

I'm sure you have heard about this 'feature' of full screen apps. One of the main problems is that the Microsoft calendar becomes useless because i have to switch screens constantly to review important information. For example, I am going to school next term and I need to input all my assignments into my calendar. This requires having two windows open on my screen to transfer the information onto the calendar. Instead of having two windows, one where the calendar is displayed and the other where I need to get the information, we have one giant calendar and I have to go back and forth to transfer the information. I hope this helps with this issue and I hope you implement windowed apps.

Try using a split screen?   Press  Alt-Space  to see your options.  Drag to change the size of the two frames.

Thanks for that tip... however, I agree, separate windows are better on a desktop.

ok. that feature is pretty cool. I have to discover what else this thing can do.

This is absolutely ridiculous why would I want an operating system for work that stops me from being able to work in multiple windows at the same time!  This makes windows 8 completely useless to me!  How can I revert to windows 7?

If I wanted a tablet I would just use my tablet!  I bought a computer so I could use a computer!
