How do you turn off Fullscreen mode in Windows 8?

Have you gone "full retard"?  It boggles my mind how you can even string complete sentences together.   On a desktop, there is absolutely no reason why full screen functionality is needed.  Why does it exist on a desktop install?  What would make someone at Microsoft say, "Here's a **** brilliant idea.  Why don't we **** over people that like to have multiple applications open by forcing certain ones to go into some asinine full screen mode?  It'll be just like on their phone."  How can you not comprehend how stupid that is?

This behaviour has been driving me batty since day one win7 and then win8!

I have the pc screen go to full screen mode every time I open a pdf attachment from outlook. Its the most annoying thing Microsoft has ever done.

First of all If I had wanted a pC that looked like a Mac I would have bought a Mac you idiots.

I used to like Microsoft because It was more intuitive and I was used to it.

Not only does the Fg%^%43 pdf open in full screen it take about 10 mouse clicks to find the right spot to touch in the top right corner with the mouse to make the close screen  link come up. its just a total PiZZ OFF.

There is now way this is a feature you clowns, its a nussance and a rather big one.

I find myself going into the office on the weekends using an old windows PC so that I can be productive instead of a new $4000 top of the range pc from dell bought a few months ago from dell WITH WINDOWS 8 because it still annoys me  to use it.

ITS JUST NOT DOING WHAT A PC SHOULD. ITS NOT DOING THE WORK FOR ME IT IS making extra work for me

pLEASE SHOW ME HOW I CAN GET RID OF THIS OR WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD YOUR OLD SOFTWARE oPPERATING SYSTEM

Having been a microsoft mvp for seven years, it's still impossible for me to understand the fact that with all the brainpower that ms has, absolutely no one seems to understand that they need to listen to and respond to user input, then take that information and incorporate it into their products.

Thanks Bev but that seems to be a solution to a different problem.

When opening a pdf attachment to an email in outlook, the Mongrel software win8 opens it in full screen mode, so I have to do extra work to find the x to close the window. PLUS I loose my bottom menu so I can NOT quickly go back to the email then back to the PDF ETC. It is fuc&^&%ng ridiculous.

I already found that link you mentioned to ;-

Who the hell wants your stinky apps and Apple look-alike on a business computer. We want convenience provided by the software to get work done in a fast fashion that we were used to.

We also wanted the windows defender - You had a perfectly good pc but you sold out to the people that make the viruses and also the virus protection software.

Sell your apps OS to the kids that want a tablet to play games. NoNO NO ,  you forced it on to the majority which is home and small business PC's that want to run your office products.
