Despite all of the annoyances of Windows 8, I must say, the random "switching to fullscreen mode" is the most aggravating. . I thought I turned off full screen mode, but it keeps doing that fullscreen.... thing. It's done it -at least- 5 times while I typed this.

yeah - lets take the new modern Windows 8 operating system and make it single threaded so that you can actually only use 1 app at a time.

Did Microsoft even consult a single user before deciding to cripple the OS in this manner?

are you serious that someone actually thinks locking my display in full screen is a feature? It is an amazingly serious design flaw. I NEVER NEVER NEVER do anything full screen - that way I can move all of my windows around at will and reference as many of them as I need. my PDF in a small window, my ppt the same. three shrunk explorer windows, all serving as source documents for the word document I am creating. But now I have to have that PDF doc full screen, which means I simply cannot do what I want?

Microsoft needs to fix this seriously glaring judgment error and restore usability to the users - the way users actually want to use their computers.

That's not what I meant. I mean when you move your finger around and it randomly gets big. There's this tiny box that says : "You've gone fullscreen, Exit Full screen (F11).  How do I stop Windows 8 from doing that at random?

"Cannot turn it off" - as in Microsoft made a conscious decision to make Windows 8 a single threaded OS and cripple the interface, dramatically limiting usability?

I hope the engineer who made that decision gets fired.

I have this same annoying issue. It's driving me nuts. It's only when I'm using a web browser that it happens.

Come on Microsoft and Support Engineer. Give us a fix please.
