Stay vigilant, eventually some Microsoft system will notice this thread is open, and will cause someone to address it... more posts will help.

2015-06-26T18:39:42+00:00 I see that we all have the same problem and none of the suggestions work. I think it is just a defect in Windows 8 and 8.1. It shouldn't be that hard for msn to fix, but until then we will just have to live with it.

2015-06-02T09:48:53+00:00 I have deselected the option in 'View' "Align Icons to Grid", (the Auto Arrange Icons was already off.) and the PC now swaps screens with no rearrangement of the Icons.

Now I have a new problem, just yesterday all of the desktop icons on the right side didn't just move, they disappeared! I haven't had time to research it yet. So frustrating! I wish I hadn't bought a Surface!
