Hello Sir,
Today I received the same warning message as others have received: "Reconnect your drive. Your files will be temporarily copied to your hard drive until your reconnect you File History drive and run a backup." (I don't know what "reconnect my File History"
means and I don't know how to run a backup. SO, I tried to get help today, over the phone, from both Microsoft and then Lenovo.
I received a callback from Microsoft, who proceeded to tell me that I needed to call Lenovo when I explained the issue, and when I received a callback from Lenovo,
they proceeded to say that it's a Microsoft issue and to call them (which I had already done in the first place).
Therefore, I am stuck, with no help. I don't understand why I received the message/warning, and cannot understand all the advice given here in this forum. I am not good with computers, and have never had so many issues with a new computer!
(I have called Microsoft 3 times and Lenovo 4 times in the two months I've had this Ideapad laptop. I'm almost certain I have a lemon on my hands. Anyway . . . .
As per the questions you asked the above community member, I did get an update last night (from Microsoft, I would assume). You had also asked the other member, "Does the computer recognize any other USB device"? I'm not sure what this means, but I've
only ever used 1 USB device on this computer. (My nephew used it to do a back up, if that information helps.)
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Grindelia
