How to fix "windows cannot find 'ms-windows-store:purge caches', make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again"

I got an error message saying "windows cannot find 'ms-windows-store:purge caches', make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again". I have no ideas what it mean. Please help.

Go to

Ctrl X

Bring up the Windows powershell admin

Type in the following

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

Go back to windows store and it should re-work!!

    I tried all of the things that the forum had to offer and several other things suggested by others. None of it worked. I gave up.  

    That is until one said do a pc "Restart" .   Now it works pretty good.  But even tho I had taken special care to keep my Windows Media player,  it is now muted.  Useless.   And I love my dvd's.   And if I want Windows Media Player I have to buy it;  again.

    No one informed me that when I purchased my laptop that I just own the hardware and I paid a big price to borrow the software.   Software that can be removed any time.  If I had known,  I would have purchased a state of the art I phone instead.     Which, when I update my hardware that is exactly what I will spend my money on.

    I tried running the command but all I got was this -

    Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:\windows\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml' because it does not exist.

    At line:1 char:1

    • Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register C:\windows\WinStore ... 
    •

        + CategoryInfo          : ObjectNotFound: (C:\windows\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml:String) [Add-AppxPackage], It

       FoundException

        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PathNotFound,Microsoft.Windows.Appx.PackageManager.Commands.AddAppxPackageCommand

    No idea where to go from here.
