Go to

Ctrl X

Bring up the Windows powershell admin

Type in the following

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

Go back to windows store and it should re-work!!

I am also having this issue and have tried all of the steps listed multiple times.

My original problem was just with the Windows Store, but I've discovered that all of my other Metro Apps are also going to a blank screen and then quickly closing whenever I try to open them (including the PC settings App).

My operating system is Windows 8.1 Pro Preview Build 9431 if that helps at all.

I experienced this message while attempting to run WSReset.exe, as my original problem had to do with attempting to run the Store app. Clicking on the Store tile causes the Store tile to go full-screen for a second or two after which it goes back to its original size.

Following the troubleshooting advice determined there to be no search or indexing problems.

None of these steps worked. The error message is:

    "Windows cannot find 'ms-windows-store:PurgeCaches"

There is no indexing problem. Windows store will not open.
