Hello YayaFino,
RT devices can only download Windows updates and apps from the Store. I would suggest you try the Google search app from the Store, it has Google search and 14 other Google apps built in (Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Calendar and many more).

I understand that you have issues with downloading Google Chrome.
Google Chrome is available as a desktop application which can be installed only on Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro Operating Systems.
You will not be able to install it on Windows RT devices.

After reading these comments I'm beginning to think more and more that I made a mistake in purchasing this Surface...my goodness what a mess with what you can and can't do, what works with this but not with that. Oy Vey...More I think about it the more I'm convinced I need to sell this piece and never look back. What a disappointment! Welp lesson learned here. Good luck to everyone else and their multiple issues regarding this device!
Actually, as long as you have a clear understanding of what the Surface is and what it's capable of, it's pretty darn good IMO. The RT is Microsoft's equivalent to the iPad or an Android tablet. It's limited to what is in the Store, but that means its harder for the system to get infected, and it's harder to break.
IMO the Surface RT is much nicer than its Apple or Google counterparts - it's midway between a tablet and a laptop really. The ability to use external drives and access network shares isn't built into the others, but the RT can. And I especially like that the Surface has an HDMI port - I can use it as a portable media center that can hook up to a TV.
And no other tablet comes with Office.
Well it's great that you're impressed with it and satisfied that it does what you're personally looking for. However, I don't care so much about an HDMI port nor do I care so much about office. My major gripe was that I can't dl Chrome. Every computer regardless or brand or type as well as all other devices allow the option to dl the browser therefore one would never think to make sure this particular device allows such. As someone stated in a previous comment it would be nice to have the options and not be so limited. I personally hate the other browsers so much that it's a potential deal breaker....for ME. But as I stated earlier, glad to see someone is happy because all I read was complaints about a few different things. Enjoy your device and maybe I'll keep and adapt to mine...time will tell.
