Hello YayaFino,
RT devices can only download Windows updates and apps from the Store. I would suggest you try the Google search app from the Store, it has Google search and 14 other Google apps built in (Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Calendar and many more).

I understand that you have issues with downloading Google Chrome.
Google Chrome is available as a desktop application which can be installed only on Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro Operating Systems.
You will not be able to install it on Windows RT devices.

I never said that Google was happy about doing a Chrome "shell" on iOS, just that they did it. Which gives them more exposure than if they didn't release it, especially if they're able to do a decent approximation of Chrome's features and UI on iOS (probably similar to the Android version.) Mind you, since I avoid Chrome, I really can't say whether the feature set carries over. I don't even have it on my Android tablet.
Seems to me that by not releasing RT/8 versions of the apps even in wrapper form, they're reducing their exposure. Maybe not by much, as there aren't a huge number of RT devices out there for them to expose themselves on, but every little bit helps.
Your assessment is probably the most fair one - neither side is blameless.
And I prefer Kre-O over Lego or Megabloks. Just like I prefer Firefox over IE or Chrome. :-)

I think I finally understand where you're coming from now. And I haven't used "Chrome" on iOS either so I don't know what it's like. I guess my whole point (if I had one) is as a paying customer of an RT device I would like to see the OS become a bit more open so we can actually have a choice of browsers. Firefox has the same problem as Chrome too...
They are not blocking chrome, Google doesn't want for Windows RT to support chrome. So they haven't yet released a Windows Store chrome app. Microsoft would be more than happy to have chrome on Windows RT, but that would allow people who want chrome to buy cheap Windows tablets instead of android ones.
