it brings up a message saying "This app can't run on your PC" and under it this is the message it has "To find apps for this PC, open the windows store"

Hello YayaFino,

RT devices can only download Windows updates and apps from the Store. I would suggest you try the Google search app from the Store, it has Google search and 14 other Google apps built in (Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Calendar and many more).

I understand that you have issues with downloading Google Chrome.

Google Chrome is available as a desktop application which can be installed only on Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro Operating Systems.

You will not be able to install it on Windows RT devices.

    Microsoft can't make other companies' products. Chrome is a Google program, so they have to create the RT version. And Google have no interest in doing so.

    Internet Explorer is the only web browser you can use on RT, but you can set it up to use any search engine.
