scroll bar/slide bar disappears after a few seconds very anoying

From your issue description, I understand that scroll bar/slide bar disappears after a few seconds.

To help you resolve this issue, Could you please answer the following questions.

1. On the scroll bar, you need to perhaps tell us where you are in Windows 8?
2. When you have this issue; are you somewhere on the Start screen or in a Windows 8 store-style app or are you somewhere on the Desktop side?
3. Where are you missing the "scroll bar”?

Please answer these questions so that I can rectify your issue as soon as possible.

first, I am on this site typing my answer to you as the scroll bar disappears on the right hand side of the screen. This happens on many sites and is very annoying as sometimes there is another site waiting in the space where the scroll bar disappeared and I am redirected to some other site I don't want.

Your wasting your time.That was their only answer and that was 3 years ago.

theyre not interested in anyones opinions. They obviously started this plan to have fade out scroll bars and task bars years ago and have spent many years and much wasted talent on developing it .

The fact that its just a frustrating nonsense isnt going to make them admit to their big mistake and just put  things back as they were.

As we all know task bars take up very little space so no need for them to fade away and for us to constantly waste our time finding them again and making them reappear...even more so for scroll bars. Its a constsnt frustration....but Ms know best so dont waste your time trying to get a positive answer. All youll get is bs and smokescreens.

Im still waiting for a credible rival OS that i can switch over to and runs everything smoothly.

They won't admit it's a "big mistake" any more than the grocery store will admit it was a big mistake to put milk and bread in the back of the store.  They don't mind wasting your time, because they think you'll look at other stuff to buy while they're manipulating you.

And I'm sick of the canned reply from the Microsoft team.  They're like telephone hold music -- purposefully annoying in hopes you'll give up and go away.  They know perfectly well the issue that Khan is referring, they know why it's happening, and they have no intention of rectifying it.

Best - honest response I have ever seen. Some people "in the know" ask what are you doing  ? , what is this and that etc...  I am dumbfounded they these community members have never been on MSN and experienced that issue. (disappearing scroll bar).   The fact that MS has not listened to their customers feedback is an indication that all the talk at the highest corporate level about "our customers feedback is important to us "  is just another topic to discuss at their unproductive meetings.  One reason why  some people hate MS.   I like the product but will NEVER purchase WINDOWS 10 as they keep reminding me in their pop-ups.

I second this - very annoying. An example: in the Windows App Store view a App reviews. Put your mouse over the scroll bar, near the bottom so it isn't over the actual block that moves. Wait a moment and the scrollbar disappears. You cannot scroll just by clicking - you have to move the mouse first to make the scroll bar reappear.

I don't exact understand this. i've tried and nothing happened. Also i'm 50 and just learning how to be on a computer, so i'm very slow at understanding the technology.
