scroll bar/slide bar disappears after a few seconds very anoying

That's what were all complaining about here Tony. Read through the posts for more info.

I'm still biotchin about the same issues.

Although I am now convinced that Kublakahn or wtf ever his name is that pretends he is answering questions for MS and asks us where we are when? MS is laughing their collective **** off over this bs. The issue or agenda MS has is to get us to click on advertisements when we have zero intent on doing so. The only effect has been the foregoing other then having to be troubled and careful when navigating the pointer efficiently. Kahn dude is just another distraction if you didn't get it by now.

The clock, mouse pad and slider all sucks and MS knows this. All about the clicks, yet we have posters telling us work around for the issues. BS there is no work around for this bs and this is were MS engineers are bending over holding their guts laughing at us all. MS puts Kahn dude out on this board and answers our questions with questions. This should tell anybody reading that MS is laughing at us all.

My question is about the charm bar that pops out of the right side edge when you place your pointer in top right of page ,correct. My problem is when I'm nowhere near right top edge & it pops out I'm not talking about a couple times a day If I'm on my laptop for 8 hrs it pops out 12-19 times a hour & it's a nuisanceto get back on track cause it won't disappear til it's clicked off

So I have the opposite of Ken8A ......another thing it's on the right where I use my up & down scroll

Thanks for taking the time to try help me Kerry. I've looked in the mouse setttings before and I've just tried again. My set up is a bit different to yours but i cant see any setting to get rid of the swipe feature on the touchpad, so I'll just have to keep putting up with the horrible pop out side bar and clock jumping out and slapping me in the face...... Ouch!  :(

In short you can add you own style sheet to IE that will be used by every website. If this style sheet contains the line:

@-ms-viewport{width:auto!important}

Then that should prevent the scrollbar disappearing. Works for me. Please let us know if it doesn't work for you.

Trouble is I'm not technically minded Ben and I don't want to mess with what I don't understand...besides why I should I try to put right what Microsoft have got wrong. They have very well paid people to do that. Also the problem isn't restricted to IE 11, It's mostly apparent to me when using apps on my Windows 8 laptop. I use Firefox browser which doesn't have the disappearing scrollbar problem.
