nsi memory leaks fixed yet?

That's interesting. For some reason I don't have Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter. But so far from what I've found for me is having all updates and IE9 installed there is no memory leak issue. It was as soon as I installed IE10 and the prerequisite platform update (KB2670838) that svchost.exe started eating up ram again. It was at 147 MB(147, 776K) after 24 hours.

I've uninstalled IE10 and after 24 hours the svchost.exe is at 13 MB(13, 664K). Which is still slightly odd since normally it stays around 8.5 MB. I'm not sure if it still has a slight memory leak problem or if it will stay there. I'll have to see what it does over the next few days.

I'm wondering if you can install IE11 without installing IE10 and if it has the same issue.

I faced the same issue lately and reading your posts helped me and put me on the right track somehow.

What I did and seemed to work for me so far is to update one by one all the Drivers of the Network Adapters in the Device Manager > Network adapters section. The only one that had update and seems to make the RAM dropped was Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter!

Sadly only uninstalling IE11 didn't work for me. I guess IE10 needs to be uninstalled as well. The only temporary fix I've found is disabling the network adapter. It instantly lowers the memory usage for svchost.exe. It does just continue to rise after enabling it again though. I was really hoping uninstalling and reinstalling the network adapter would work.

I just don't understand why it is affecting a small number of us. I've asked friends and they have no issues with it. With IE10 or IE11 installed. I'm considering doing a repair using the Windows 7 SP1 disc tomorrow. Maybe a fresh install of all the updates and services will fix something.

I have uninstalled IE 11, searched for any IE related hotfixes, security updates, patches, and previous versions. Found that the update that introduced IE 11, left IE 10 on, but when I went to remove IE 10, it was no longer there, and none of it's related updates were either. During this time (after the update that removed IE 10, before I removed IE 11) I had NO NSI leak for over 3 days of up time, with NO sleep mode. To attempt to nullify this issue from coming back with IE 11, I opted to only leave Chrome and FireFox installed. So far, 0 problems with NSI leaking, system performance stable, and way more responsive after 56 hours up time. Will continue to monitor, and return any future results.
