Why two Windows Folders in Local Disc?

I have just had to reinstall Windows XP Home. In Explorer under Local Disc, there used to be just one Windows folder. I now have two. One is titled Windows. the other Windows 0.  Why? Some of the files within them are different.

    Hi John

    Settings are already as you suggest but I can't find an updated driver. I have an Nvidea nForce Network Controller Version 4.3.3.0 dated 16/3/2004. A search of the Nvidea site does not recognise the name or version number. Any ideas?

    Download and install the latest drivers for your network adapter.  Is the router acting as a DCHP server?  (most do unless you disable it). 

    1- Go into Network Connections and right click on the LAN/Internet connection then click on Properties.

    2- Highlight (click on) Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click on Properties.

    3- Set both the IP and DNS to obtain addresses automatically.

    4-Go in your Services Management Console (enter  SERVICES.MSC in the Start Menu Run box) and make sure that the DHCP Client service is set to automatic start.

    I can't find anything to help and I am afraid I have had enough now. I have decided I am going to scrap my XP and buy am Apple iMac and I just wanted to thank you for your help and perserverence. Best wishes. Brian
