Why two Windows Folders in Local Disc?

okay do this:

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

msinfo32

Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select All (Ctrl-A), Copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

You can edit out any personal information.

also expand components, and expand network and copy/paste that info also, your motherboard should be listed in the system summary

also you can download Belaric on your 7 pc to a flash drive, take to the xp and then install. :)

I typed Nvidia nForce Networking Controller version 4.3.3.0 (2004) but there appears to be no way of knowing which one is needed on the Nvidia site. I also seem to have come full circle. The reason I had to re-install XP in the first place was because downloads kept freezing and when I retried, I would loose my connection. It has made no difference, so I can't download Belarc advisor.

I do not know exactly, I would not want you to totally screw up your pc.

1. when you searched for a driver update, did you type in Nvidea or Nvidia?
2. it might make a difference.
3. John suggested Belarc advisor to discover the motherboard manufacturer, please do so,

Sorry to be a pest Elizabeth when you are being so helpful but apart from 32 bit or 64 bit, none of the numbers tally with mine, presumably because they are updates. Should I choose the one with the latest date or only one with the same beginning number of mine ie 4. something

several on this page, read specs to ensure it is for a 32 or 64 bit system whichever you have.
