Using Windows Phone 8, I am unable to open media content in text messages, says getting content but doesn't open

I received a text with the message "Get media content now". When I "click" on the message phone says "getting media content" then switches back to "get media content". The media does not open.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for having written on the forum.

It could be possible that you’re trying to open or download a format file which isn’t supported from Windows Phone 8.

Another origin of this problem could be related with if the files you’re trying to download or open are protected from a password. This feature isn’t supported from windows phone.

I HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE...........BUT NONE OF THE MEDIA CONTENTS OPEN......NO MATTER WHO ITS FROM....YOUR FIRST LINK DONT WORK....AND SECOND LINK ISNT ANSWERING MY QUESTION.....WHO CAN I CONTACT TO HELP ME WORK OUT THESE ISSUES IM HAVING ON MY NOKIA 520 PHONE? I HAVE ONLY HAD IT 2 WKS OR SO........IM REALLY TRYIN TO RESOLVE MYSELF BUT CANT FIND NO SOLUTIONS........PLZ HELP IN U CAN.......THANKS

check for an update for your phone, that helped me. If not, go to your provider, it can be fixed! Hang in there!!

It's really sad that this is still happening a year and a half later. My phone is completely up to date and I have this problem as well.
