Yes, but Gmail never gave problems in the first place and I am sure I got my password right. They just decided to block it due to a lack of use. And when you decide to ask to reset password, they ask a list of really dumb questions which you cannot answer as the answers do not exist! N thus, the computerized system deems you to be a hacker and close your request order.
Microsoft 'Security' is stupid and annoying
Hi,
I don't know where to start. This is the second time I've been prompted to enter a 'code' that shall grant me access to my email even though I've only ever logged into it from the one address. I'd been forced to enter an email before which I'm sure is where the previous code was sent. What I don't understand is that if this is for my 'security' how was I able to change that email to something else completely - bounce it to a mate in across the globe who happened to be on the phone with me, who gave me the code to enter to access my own bloody email?
- Why does someone need to have an email to access an email? And how the **** does that work if you have 2 outlook addresses which require a code from the other locked outlook address? All your doing is pushing people to Gmail duh.
- When outlook prompted me saying "hey enter the code we sent you" What is the use of being able to change the email to anything you want? Is that secure or just 'Microsoft secure'?
- If I can change the email to whatever I want to get the code that's needed is this so much a security aspect for outlook or just an info grab so you can record peoples alternate email addresses?
DISCUSS
P.S. No, I'm not giving you my phone number, I have less security on my bank accounts and credit cards whose security is impeccable - its hotmail, get over it and let us just have our 'secret question'.
PEACE

2014-06-30T13:43:19+00:00 Microsoft is imploding or something or there brains are!? What on earth is this new CEO doing? Pinching everyone's emails for the governments of this world. My emails are confidential and belong to me not MS. What in Jesus name are you people doing, all I get is settings pages and NO EMAILS and go round and round the mulberry bush with your useless code system and get another page of settings often being asked for two verification sets from my phone and email. It just keeps doing it and as for you Shawn, the amazing commander, listen instead of throwing utterly useless responses to us that solve nothing and just get everyone angry. Google does it sweet as, why can't Microsoft? I've never had one issue with them but this is getting into almost legal class action territory against MS. Linux here I come! Give me my emails!!??

2014-06-30T14:47:13+00:00 Totally agree EB. Im patiently waiting for July 6 to see if I have to use a new code again....although when I finally got in to the account, I was able to uncheck the verify accnt bs. We shall see next week. If it does make me play this game again, I will change everything, new account elsewhere and do away with everything microsoft. Prob use Gmail and go to Firefox...and the advertisers will be hating this too when they lose all their prospective buyers who leave microsoft.

It asks me to confirm my email address so they CAN SEND ME A CODE I confirm the request and press next and the stupid stupid stupid stupid thing then asks me for the code they have not sent and says that the code is required.
What RETARD at Microsoft devised this?
