Microsoft is imploding or something or there brains are!? What on earth is this new CEO doing? Pinching everyone's emails for the governments of this world. My emails are confidential and belong to me not MS. What in Jesus name are you people doing, all I get is settings pages and NO EMAILS and go round and round the mulberry bush with your useless code system and get another page of settings often being asked for two verification sets from my phone and email. It just keeps doing it and as for you Shawn, the amazing commander, listen instead of throwing utterly useless responses to us that solve nothing and just get everyone angry. Google does it sweet as, why can't Microsoft? I've never had one issue with them but this is getting into almost legal class action territory against MS. Linux here I come! Give me my emails!!??
Microsoft 'Security' is stupid and annoying
Hi,
I don't know where to start. This is the second time I've been prompted to enter a 'code' that shall grant me access to my email even though I've only ever logged into it from the one address. I'd been forced to enter an email before which I'm sure is where the previous code was sent. What I don't understand is that if this is for my 'security' how was I able to change that email to something else completely - bounce it to a mate in across the globe who happened to be on the phone with me, who gave me the code to enter to access my own bloody email?
- Why does someone need to have an email to access an email? And how the **** does that work if you have 2 outlook addresses which require a code from the other locked outlook address? All your doing is pushing people to Gmail duh.
- When outlook prompted me saying "hey enter the code we sent you" What is the use of being able to change the email to anything you want? Is that secure or just 'Microsoft secure'?
- If I can change the email to whatever I want to get the code that's needed is this so much a security aspect for outlook or just an info grab so you can record peoples alternate email addresses?
DISCUSS
P.S. No, I'm not giving you my phone number, I have less security on my bank accounts and credit cards whose security is impeccable - its hotmail, get over it and let us just have our 'secret question'.
PEACE

2014-06-30T12:48:08+00:00 Yes, but Gmail never gave problems in the first place and I am sure I got my password right. They just decided to block it due to a lack of use. And when you decide to ask to reset password, they ask a list of really dumb questions which you cannot answer as the answers do not exist! N thus, the computerized system deems you to be a hacker and close your request order.

2014-06-29T08:01:02+00:00 I cant verify my account using a phone number from 15 years ago. I had to fill in a form however if you get a single thing wrong it will reply that you failed but of course wont tell you why.
I went to online chat 3 times and finally got told to fill in a form to the account department.
Instead of getting a reply they sent me a link to a reply but it asks me to login first. can you believe it asks me to login with the account that is blocked?? eventually a few attempts later I get to the message another way to find case closed I then reopen it and explain the issue they reply fill in the online form carefully not getting anything wrong. I tell them I tried this they reply that's the only option or just open a new account and then they close the case again.
I have 2 emails the old one with a weird title and the new one which is my full name
I tell them I can prove the account is mine.
I have a youtube channel user name same as the old email which has that email as contact. youtube account is about 10 years old.
I have a paypal account about 6 years old primary email is the blocked secondary is the new. my security details on my paypal page shows the same phone number they wanted to call as well as both emails.
I had the old email forwarding to the new
I had emails in the old email that are signed in my name and sent with my name on them. I have a cv in my old email that has my full name on the same as my new email address
im being blocked by the message "it appears someone is trying to use your account".
im fully aware it was because I messed up the password which I have now reset no one is using the account since I got blocked. im awaiting a reply
so here is the thing in theory I would have to be another person with the exact same full name as the owner of the email account. about 10 years ago I would have to set up a youtube account using a user name the same as someone elses email I would then use their email as contact despite not having access to it I would then set up a paypal account in that persons email and use it for another 6 years despite being unable to verify the account via email and without said person noticing emails from paypal. I would then hack or convince said person to forward all emails to my new account. then despite somehow always knowing their new password when im finally locked out of their account I would have to ask them to never log back in until I get in first.
I would have had to have planned and done all this 6 to 10 years ago so that now I can say look its really me I can prove it
If I could plan a scam that well I would be rich by now

2014-06-24T23:44:09+00:00 Well the service is free from microsoft I agree, however, if I had a company and I put out a product on the market free or not, I'd want to put my best foot forward. gmail sucks in a different way and so does yahoo mail, however, going literally YEARS without fixing the flaws and not listening to the uproar from your customers is frightfully indicative of a large company who has so much cash it doesn't have to care, thats what sticks in my craw..
