Hi,

You should obtain your Driver Software from your Computer or Hardware Manufacturer, not through 3rd party Programs or Windows Update.

Go to your Computer or Hardware Manufacture's website > Driver and Software Support Section > look up your Computer or Hardware Model number > then your Operating System > locate the correct Drivers > download and install them.

Cheers.

If suggestions above have not help you to get rid of this 'bogus' program, please try Revo Uninstaller and MBAM (as suggested in many related threads) which should take care of this PUP.

MBAM should detect it as 'PUP.Optional.DriverUpdate.A'.

This > 'Remove PUP.Optional.DriverUpdate.A virus Removal Guide' may be of assistance.

AdwCleaner (a trustworthy anti-adware scanner) may also be a good idea to search (and remove) for any other Adware or Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that might have been installed there with or without your knowledge or consent.

You need to remove - not only 'DriverUpdate' - but everything "SlimWare Utilities" that might have been installed (SlimCleaner, for instance?) there with or without your knowledge.

Hope this helps.

I am a computer tech, and I have only seen Slimware Utilities in the context of an infection, and nothing else. This company must ultimately be a sham and a deep security risk. None of my clients remember ever downloading it, and it keeps them from getting on the internet, even though the PCs can identify networks, and get onto routers.

The owners of this turd should be lynched immediately and their families should be burned at the stake. How disgusting these people are! I will be sending them hundreds of thousands of email from my servers this week, and I council everyone to do the same.

Many of my less fortunate clients have to decide whether they can pay for a fixed clean PC or feed their families and I am sick of seeing it.

This company is comprised of pigs born of pigs and I pray they suffer from genetic diseases and the deepest human emotional pain possible.

Other than that its a fine product.
