I plugged in my new Magic Jack plus into my modem and I started getting this message repeated over and over. ERROR 3002.  Magic Jack said it was a problem with my ISP accepting multiple devices. Can anyone help me with this problem?

I have a Q1000 (esetially an Actiontec C1000 with Qwest branding) with the same issue. I reported it as a bug to magicjack. I got mine working with a second dhcp server. I limited the dhcp scope on my Q1000 to 192.168.0.10-192.168.0.20 and have a linux server plugged into the Q1000 on my linux box I have a dhcp server that I added the dhcp scope of 192.168.0.200 - 192.168.0.220 as soon as I activated the scope my magicjack was working.

    Jim,

Thanks for the help.  Would you mind sharing your hardware configuration with us.  Who is your ISP and what modem are you using?

I am using Centurylink for my ISP and have their new C1000A modem by Actiontec with 12 Meg service.  Since I plugged in my DLink DI-524 wireless router in between my MJ and the C1000A, I have not had any problems. I am a little nervous to fiddle with it because it has been working so well.  No problems since January 2014.

I do have a few complaints about the MJ service that has nothing to do with quality.  I haven't searched to see where to log those complaints.  First is that you can not turn off the call waiting, and even though I have a phone that could give me call waiting info, the MJ does not provide call information.  Second complaint, the MJ does not give any name information on Caller ID.  Both the Name and the number come up with a number, no name.  I solved the no name information by getting a phone with 3000 number memory, so as long as I program the name into the phone, I get a name when calls come in, but that doesn't work for new numbers. Most of my calls lately have been from cell phones that would only provide a city name not a caller name, so it's a better solution in the long run.

I also have the Q1000. Had to set a static IP and then set that IP on the DMZ. Everything works, even after router reset or added device.
