Magic Jack error 3002 How do I fix this problem?

I plugged in my new Magic Jack plus into my modem and I started getting this message repeated over and over. ERROR 3002.  Magic Jack said it was a problem with my ISP accepting multiple devices. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Hi Robert,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

As per the description, you get an error code 3002 with Magic Jack.

The issue can be resolved by Rebooting  the Router.

I have a Q1000 (esetially an Actiontec C1000 with Qwest branding) with the same issue. I reported it as a bug to magicjack. I got mine working with a second dhcp server. I limited the dhcp scope on my Q1000 to 192.168.0.10-192.168.0.20 and have a linux server plugged into the Q1000 on my linux box I have a dhcp server that I added the dhcp scope of 192.168.0.200 - 192.168.0.220 as soon as I activated the scope my magicjack was working.

    After many tries of messing with everything I found this solution.

    after it is configured with the software and phone # assigned  do the following after you unplug the USB adapter power to the MJ.

    The magic jack should be attached to the router and the phone line BUT NOT PLUGGED IN to the USB power.

    Turn on simple config on your router and set it to "push button" configuration.

    Find the switch on the router that "discovers" new devices (the push button).  Press this switch on the router and the light should start flashing.  It is now looking for new devices.  At this point you have 2 minutes for the router to discover the MJ.  Now, plug the MJ into the USB power adapter.  Wait until you see the MJ device appear on the router.

    You should get a dial tone and be able to make calls.

    There is one more step left.  The Magic Jack device must be configured on the router with a STATIC IP ADDRESS.  If you don't do this step and restart devices or add new ones and don't do this step after a while the error will come back.

    PS I am running win 7.

    You might want to try this (hope that helps in your case of n150 router):

    I too have a belkin router. I just disabled my MAC Code Addressing Filter to get it working. I then went to the DHCP Client List and got the MAC Code. (Found under (null) with MAC Code) I added it to my Address Filter List and enabled the filtering. Everything worked.
