I was plagued by this problem also. The error 3002 and no audio was driving me nuts. After hours of chatting on line with magic jack personnel, they finally gave up also. I experimented with all sorts of ways to resolve this conflict. Until I finally
came up with a strange and unbelievable way to get the phone to work without any problems.
First, unhook the magic jack and delete all of mj's programs on your computer. Reboot your computer, then plug the magic jack into a usb port on your computer and download the file. Run the program and set up magic jack the way you want it to work. I
have an answering machine, so I set mine up to be answered by my answering machine instead of sending it to my email box.
Now, take out the magic jack and plug it into your router or modem, whatever you are going to use. Don't try to use the phone., just delete the magic jack program completely. Then reboot after you do this. Make sure all programs on that you put in your
computer by mj is deleted from your computer. Now pick up the phone and behold, it works. After 6 days of fighting this nonsense, I finally got my mj working right.. It no longer had that slight echo it had before I did this. When I first installed the mj,
it would work sometimes and just go out with the 3002 error. Then suddenly come back on a few hours later by itself. I no longer get the 302 error code and no audio.
I know it sounds strange, but I believe there is an error in the programming by magic jack. As long as the modem has the instructions to run, you don't need their program in your computer. That's where the problem is and the
only way to resolve it is to delete their program.
I hope you try it. I now use it to fax papers and I have a cordless phone system on it with 3 phones.
