These three updates are trying to be reinstalled over and over again. Replicable on both PCs
The updates are trying to be install over and over again. Every time I click "check for updates," there it appears again.

Update 1: I have tried restarting the PC. Nothing. I have also tried FixIt when trying to troubleshoot Windows Update errors. Still nothing. The FixIt simply "runs" till the end and then says "finish." It did not offer to fix anything.
Windows 7 X64 SP1 with Norton Internet Security 2013 (version 20).
Update: I found other users having the same problem http://www.computerbase.de/forum/showthread.php?t=1252121 (in Dutch I presume). Translated page: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.computerbase.de%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D1252121&act=url
Update 2: Added media coverage of the issue.
Update 3: Add even more threads found via Google.
Update 4: Microsoft has now offered a statement regarding this bug:
“We’ve received reports of some customers experiencing issues when deploying some of September’s Office-related updates. We are investigating this issue and will act accordingly, to help ensure that our customers are protected." -- Dustin Childs, group manager, Microsoft Trustworthy Computing
Microsoft has acknowledge this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2760583/en-us
Known issues with this security update
Update 5: I did not have to do anything on my part (like re-install updates), so it's probably a detection issue on Microsoft's part.

Simplest solution Until they get it fixed is to hide the updates. No more repetitive installs.
Assuming all three (3) updates are listed in Installed Updates, feel free to hide them & move on with your life.

Although the updates report being successfully installed I'm not sure this is the case. I tried rolling back my win7 x64 to this morning pre-installation. They still showed up in the update history and in the installed programs/updates list. Then I tried uninstalling each of the three updates. Each one acted as if it were uninstalling and disappeared from the program/update list. The multiple installs still showed in the install history. It's like they aren't there at all and they never go away both at the same time.
Why should we have to hide them? Why doesn't Microsoft just fix the problem? Is that too logical?
