Products causing the problem for me on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (32- and 64-bit):
- Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system
- Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007
After updating my laptop (a 3rd PC), I've ruled out the following two programs as being affected by this issue:
- Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2
- Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007
I think its to do with the update itself not the PCs.
Yes, it's definitely a problem with the update - no question. But in my case the software installed on each system makes a difference. I expected the same problem to show up on the 3rd PC but it did not. This is because I didn't have the same software installed as on the other 2 PCs.
The point I'm trying to make is that I was wrong to think that any application with the words "Office" and "2007" in the title would be affected by the bug (in the update, not the installed application). Cautioning others who may have a same scenario as I do (running Office 2010 but also have parts of Office 2007 loaded as well).
