The point I'm trying to make is that I was wrong to think that any application with the words "Office" and "2007" in the title would be affected by the bug (in the update, not the installed application). They're now suggesting you work around the problem with these updates by updating your video card drivers - as if changing other parts of your system to ensure compatibility with Windows Updates is remotely reasonable as a response to MS releasing broken updates again !

Yes, it's definitely a problem with the update - no question. But in my case the software installed on each system makes a difference. I expected the same problem to show up on the 3rd PC but it did not. This is because I didn't have the same software installed as on the other 2 PCs.

The point I'm trying to make is that I was wrong to think that any application with the words "Office" and "2007" in the title would be affected by the bug (in the update, not the installed application).
