Updates trying to install over and over again (KB2760411, KB2760588, and KB2760583)

These three updates are trying to be reinstalled over and over again.  Replicable on both PCs

The updates are trying to be install over and over again.  Every time I click "check for updates," there it appears again.

Update 1: I have tried restarting the PC.  Nothing.  I have also tried FixIt when trying to troubleshoot Windows Update errors.  Still nothing.  The FixIt simply "runs" till the end and then says "finish."  It did not offer to fix anything.

Windows 7 X64 SP1 with Norton Internet Security 2013 (version 20).

Known issues with this security update

  • You may be repeatedly offered this update even though it is already installed. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

Update 5: I did not have to do anything on my part (like re-install updates), so it's probably a detection issue on Microsoft's part.

    Known issues with this update

    •Customers may have been repeatedly offered this update even though it was already installed.

    Note This issue is resolved by a detection change released September 13, 2013. This change did not affect the updated files. This change only affects the way that we offer the updates to customers. Customers who have successfully installed the update do not have to take any action.

    I have the same problem all i did was after i installed them and windows update found them again i just hide them so it dose not bug me again. awww microsoft plz fix this issue.

    Anybody else experiencing hard drive failures related to this?

    Previously, my hard drive was running just fine and now Windows says it's failing.

    Not only did MS solve the problem, they have nicely "disappeared" the hidden updates that caused the problem from my machine's "windows update" details.
