Update 1: I have tried restarting the PC. Nothing. I have also tried FixIt when trying to troubleshoot Windows Update errors. Still nothing. The FixIt simply "runs" till the end and then says "finish." It did not offer to fix anything.

Update: I found other users having the same problem http://www.computerbase.de/forum/showthread.php?t=1252121 (in Dutch I presume). Update 3: Add even more threads found via Google.
Update 4: Microsoft has now offered a statement regarding this bug:

Update 5: I did not have to do anything on my part (like re-install updates), so it's probably a detection issue on Microsoft's part.

Select Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features, View Installed Updates and remove the repeating updates if they are listed there. You need then to hide each update to prevent it reinstalling select Start, All Programs, Windows Update, Check for Updates. When the list of available updates appears right click on the update and select Hide.
My desktop has done this about 4 times, all four updates show in the check updates. My laptop and my wifes desktop appear to have taken the update. This is annoying.
I am getting the same problem on Windows 7 Home Premium. It started today and keeps repeating the same updates.
I hid them after the third installation!
