Updates trying to install over and over again (KB2760411, KB2760588, and KB2760583)

These three updates are trying to be reinstalled over and over again.  Replicable on both PCs

The updates are trying to be install over and over again.  Every time I click "check for updates," there it appears again.

Update 1: I have tried restarting the PC.  Nothing.  I have also tried FixIt when trying to troubleshoot Windows Update errors.  Still nothing.  The FixIt simply "runs" till the end and then says "finish."  It did not offer to fix anything.

Windows 7 X64 SP1 with Norton Internet Security 2013 (version 20).

  • You may be repeatedly offered this update even though it is already installed. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

Update 5: I did not have to do anything on my part (like re-install updates), so it's probably a detection issue on Microsoft's part.

    How can we hide these updates via Group Policy or something similar?  Obviously the updates are out there for my company's computers...

    Why should we have to hide them?...

    You can wait and see if Microsoft fixes what's wrong (and keep getting annoyed by AU telling you to install the updates) or you can hide them. Your choice...

    Although the updates report being successfully installed I'm not sure this is the case. I tried rolling back my win7 x64 to this morning pre-installation...      

    Ideally, you would never, EVER use System Restore to "undo" an update, Service Pack, or IE upgrade (which often leaves the system in a "confused" or "torn" state)! Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, and/or IE upgrade & reboot. If that doesn't correct the problem, then try System Restore.

    How can we hide these updates via Group Policy or something similar?  Obviously the updates are out there for my company's computers, so is there a way to hide these without going to each computer?

    Why should we have to hide them?  Why doesn't Microsoft just fix the problem?  Is that too logical?
