How do I turn off Fast Startup?

this worked like a breeze for me as well with the exception of this and i'd like to add something that i had to do to make it work the second time i tried it ... i first tried this as it is stated and it did not work ... this had me scared it wasn't going to work for me like it had for so so many others ... so without flipping completely out and as always ... i rarely give up ... i was prepared to try it over and over each time trying something else or at least varying it slightly until i got it to work ... but it ended up being this simple ... in the instructions i followed from my hp pavilion desktop running 8.1 windows i tried this the second time ... my computer's or window's version had instructed me to place a memory stick in one of my usb sockets in order that my process of attempting to run a recovery "refresh" that would not lose any of my data that i had stored since first begin to use this computer many months ago ... not by any means to be confused with a recovery "reset" that it said would wipe out any of my data that i had stored since beginning to use this computer system ... in order that the process would make a copy to that now labeled f drive where i had placed a new sandisk ultra 3.0 32 gb memory stick of all my existing disk information/files as they were before beginning the recovery "refresh" process i was wanting to perform to see if it would make a difference that was noticable in my computer systems performance at the time ... so as you have already guessed ... i didn't remove this memory stick the first attempt i tried and i am almost for sure that is why it didn't work for me that first attempt ... because my second attempt i decided trying it once more having removed the memory stick from the usb socket ... and ah la ... it worked just as the guy had said it did for him that posted this method originally ... and i'm by no means homosexual ... but i'd kiss him if he were here right now because that's how much i appreciate him sharing his means/method/post with all of us that have now and i'm sure all the others in the future looking for a simple but effective means of digging out of the hole this "wish i'd never even thought of doing it and regretted having done so once i was into it up to my **** ... and screwed ... thinking this was going to cost me an expensive visit to a computer repair shop just to get my **** out of this crack" ... but thanks to this dude ... it didn't!  Thank God ... him ... and the stars above!  so i thought it worth mentioning that anyone in my predicament be sure and go ahead and remove the memory stick if they followed the instructions my software told me to do ... and finally ... if one only thinks about this simple but very effective method/means to get back to square one in this shape as simply and as easily as we all have done to correct similar type problems ... this is merely a means of manipulating an electronic machine in this way not near as intelligent as us human being are suppose to be ... but a simple means/method to reset the machine by manipulation of its own devises ... in the case the hdd in every computer!  many chuddos and hats off to the original guy that posted this ... may he experience God speed and bless him or all of the rest of his life ... thanks a million and so so much my brother in arms against all of the rest of this world when it comes to this sort of **** we're usually bombarded daily in these days and times we're living!  it's so so damn refreshing to gain at least one up on the corporate designed pitfalls we all experience almost daily!  isn't it now ... ?  yah!  yah! and a double yah!  yah!
