I had this problem when I got my computer. I tried the above first, but that failed. Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.
Clock on windows 8 is wrong time, i tried setting to internet time but its still wrong, think theres a time clock bug, anyone have same problem for windows 8 and know how to fix it?

If you set up your machine so that "Legacy Boot Devices" are enabled for the startup, then the bug will display. However, if that option is disabled, the problem does not occur.
I enable this option in order to have dual-booting machines in my case. To sidestep compatibility issues with W8, I chose not to use the Ubuntu GRUB boot manager and just make my boot choice manually at startup with F9. If "Legacy Boot Devices" is disabled the clock bug does not appear.
Those of you who are having the clock issue might check and see if "Legacy Boot Devices" is enabled on your machines. There's a definite correlation on my two machines.

The issue has nothing to do with the BIOS nor CMOS. WIN8 is programmed for the MSWindows TIme server which broadcasts the incorrect time. There's a KB article on this issue (imagine that)! Choose a non-MS time server for time updates, including adjusting the correct time zone.

2013-03-03T15:31:33+00:00 The clock bug definitely has to do with "Legacy Boot Sources" being enabled in the machine's startup settings. I had to enable it to have dual-booting W8/Ubuntu Linux computers, and that caused the bug to display. I earlier said that the bug display seemed to be statistical, but it's not. The bug shows 100%, and I have to manually reset the clock every time I start these machines in W8 - annoying.
Those of you with the clock bug will likely find that "Legacy Boot Sources" is enabled in your machine.
It's not just W8 Pro but also the W8 version. Probably all 3 versions.
I'll be extremely curious to see how long it takes Microsoft to fix this problem so that I don't have to reset two clocks every morning. Again note that if I boot either of the two W8 machines into Linux, that OS clock does not show the wrong hour.
