Clock on windows 8 is wrong time, i tried setting to internet time but its still wrong, think theres a time clock bug, anyone have same problem for windows 8 and know how to fix it?

I had this problem when I got my computer.  I tried the above first, but that failed.  Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.

    I been having the same problem for weeks... I followed the steps above, but I get the following error...

    \

    An error had occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.nist.gov.

    this operation returned because the timeout period expired.

    The clock was most recently synchronized on 17-jul-14 at 1:19...

    TODAY is the 22nd

    Diregard... I changed the wifi from my company to my cell phone and it worked..I guess is the firewall in my office

    This issue was resolved for me through replacing the firmware chip on the motherboard.

    My retailer confirmed the issue on their test benches and sent the motherboard back to ASUS. ASUS flashed the firmware on the motherboard and sent it back, although my retailer suspects they just replaced the whole chip. It was not a replacement of the whole motherboard- i received my own motherboard back from ASUS.

    After that neither my retailer nor I couldn't find any issues with the time.
