I had this problem when I got my computer.  I tried the above first, but that failed.  Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.

The re-setting the internet time does fix the time, however my computer is unable to maintain that time. It will set itself to be right when i reset it but then that new time will behave the same way as the previous time - no date change, and only changing minutes within the hour at random speed, over the course of the day.

So if i set the time at 11:18, it might be 11:46 at 2:00pm, and at 10:00 the next day, it might be 11:03.

This sounds like a hardware issue to me, not a software one.

Seeing the exact same issue as JesseMallen.

Resetting Internet time works once -- but the Windows clock is wrong - after turning on after a fast shutdown.

Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue. It did not occur on the same hardware on Windows 8. The issue began after upgrading to Windows 8.1.

Same here, I've been dealing with this for 5 months now. Windows still don't have an answer; I've tried all their methods but all failed.
