Clock on windows 8 is wrong time, i tried setting to internet time but its still wrong, think theres a time clock bug, anyone have same problem for windows 8 and know how to fix it?

I had this problem when I got my computer. I tried the above first, but that failed. Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.

I have a lenovo yoga and a Toshiba laptop. Both are running Windows 8. The Toshiba keeps time accurately. The Lenovo frustrates me no end as it has NEVER been able to keep time since I bought it despite all the solutions suggested on this board ( except tinkering with the motherboard) !! So it must be something with the hardware huh?

Hi Sanwin2 again

You say "if the discrepancy between your PC and the timeserver is too great the time will not be updated".

Why doesn't MS just remove the code that does this check (or make the removal a user option)? Then the clock (my clock) will get resynced to a network timeserver no matter what?

Am I missing something here?
