I had this problem when I got my computer.  I tried the above first, but that failed.  Try clicking on the time in the lower right corner of your screen; a window should pop up and you should be able to set the correct time there.

My computer windows time went out again today. I checked the bios time and it was out so I have now changed the motherboard CMOS battery and reset the bios time. If the clock goes wrong again I will respond here. Many thanks for all your help

My bios time is right and so is windows at the moment I reset the date and time today. I am not clear what motherboard driver I should be looking for in device manager could you clarify, I checked the cmos clocke driver in device manager I did a driver update but it did not find a better driver also the event viewer shows only the events   when I installed windows 8 when it was reconfigured I will see if the bios clock is wrong if the windows time goes out of sync before I reset the windows time again

    thanks

If your bios time is correct, and windows time is wrong... or visa versa.....

AND you have chosen the correct Region & Time zones..   You should look in Device Manager.   One of the motherboard drivers lets the bios and windows talk to each other and sync times.
