For anyone recently having this problem, try cleaning your gpu if you have a desktop. I opened my computer up and found dust clogging the gpu fans. Using computer air canisters to blow it out solved my problem.

recently every time i use a program that use my gpu( I have optimus technology so it switch when needed etc...) I get the error message " application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware", the internet does not seem to be very helpful about this problem, does anybody know what causes it/how i can fix it ????

2016-12-30T18:00:41+00:00 I have exactly the same issue with Global Conflict on Windows 10. The game runs for a while and then (usually when there I an explosion in the game) the screen freezes and then the message "Application Global Conflict has been blocked fro accessing graphics hardware" and the game completely shuts down. Since I have been running Windows 10 I have experienced a number of problems, such as my Outlook e-mails have "gone missing"!!. This is a know fault and according to Microsoft they are not completely lost so I only have 30 days or so of e-mail history. That combined with this issue with the graphics hardware is making me wonder why a company as big as Microsoft with the experience they have with Windows (10th edition!) cant get it right......Maybe Apple is the answer!!

2016-12-25T18:15:51+00:00 It looks like the cause for this can range anywhere from "your hardware is failing / unstable because of overclock" to "your drivers don't work well (with this game)".
In my case, it was actually a dynamic underclock that caused it: AMD's "Chill" feature, which aims to reduce GPU use when a game is idle, would cause this error message in Eon Altar. Turning off Chill fixed it.

2016-12-11T07:14:54+00:00 After months of kodi constantly crashing because of this issue and a ton of googling I found at least in my situation, which is an Asus ROG G551 laptop with both an integrated intel graphics card as well as an Nvidia 960m. That if i switched the prefered graphics card to the nvidia one that this problem completely went away. Hopefully this helps others as well
