I have done this several times on my HP Windows 8.  It NEVER resets and forces me to re-enter the password each time computer wakes from hibernation.  Can anyone help with this??  Thanks for any suggestions.

Start up and hibernation are two different things. You can go to settings and where you checked for it to hibernate and undo it there.

    Hi.

I am running windows 8.1. I have tried 'control userpasswords2' checked, then un-checked the box so that the 'apply' button is not greyed out, entered and re-entered my windows password, restarted my computer, and I still have to enter my password!

It works for others, what is happening?

    Thanks,

    John
