How to mount an ISO image with Windows 8?

I'm using Windows 8 Pro x64.

How do I mount an ISO file in WIndows 8?

I right click on the ISO file and the menu that pops up does not give me a Mount option. At the top of the menu it says Play. There is not a mount option anywhere in the menu. I looked in the Open With option but Mount is not there either.

Did you try the following?.

Right-click an .iso file > Properties > click "Change" under the "General" tab > click on "Windows Explorer" > OK

As that issue may be specific to WinRAR I would suggest that you open a new topic on the issue

Hi,

I suggest to try different ISO image tools. you just need to open the ISO image with it and mount the ISO image as a new partition of your hard drive. Various tools are - Magic Disc, Daemon Tools, WinCDEmu, Virtual CloneDrive, DVDFab Virtual Drive

Excellent.

Tried this, it works instantly, showing the contents of the iso and allowing it to be used straight away. i.e. a video in iso format can be played straight away by clicking on the revealed file in windows explorer.

This is working for me too......the install starts, looks for updates, and then wants to install. Is there a way to install this on a different partition as I don't want to install on top of win8.1?
