How to mount an ISO image with Windows 8?

I'm using Windows 8 Pro x64.

How do I mount an ISO file in WIndows 8?

I right click on the ISO file and the menu that pops up does not give me a Mount option. At the top of the menu it says Play. There is not a mount option anywhere in the menu. I looked in the Open With option but Mount is not there either.

Did you try the following?.

Right-click an .iso file > Properties > click "Change" under the "General" tab > click on "Windows Explorer" > OK

Worked Perfectly for me.

Just ONE thing.

My ISO files are on a server.

I Needed to Right click the ISO file, and under Properties select "Unblock"

That's not true. Windows 8 does include native ISO mounting via Windows Explorer, its a wonderful feature!

mounting an .iso in windows is not so comfortable, but if you install a 3rd party software like demon tools , power iso etc.. you can mount these images very easily. you can also create a virtual drive.
