After installation of update KB2670838 Win 7 keeps crashing to blue screen.

When the problem started I hadn't any update. or new hardware installed on the laptop.  the update installed on 2/26 and that is when the problem started. I did a system restore and problem went away, The update installed again on 2/27 and the problems started again. This time I uninstalled through add/remove programs. The only hardware problem that was detected was the touchpad driver but I think this wasa result of the system crash.

same problem here with last update MS Vin 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1, blue screen at Internet Explorer launch. Please help. Thank you.

Same Problem here, shortly after installing the KB2670838 update the blue screen of death started when using IE9.

I had no idea what might be causing it as I made no changes to the PC, after the third blue screen I checked recent automatic updates and after searching for it and finding this thread it all made sence since the update was the only change I did to my PC.

I now uninstalled it, and now it only shows as an optional update so hopefully will not install automatically anymore.

Now I just hope the uninstall solved the problem. Shame on you Microsoft for releasing a screwed up update, nearly gave me a heart attack the first time the blue screen came up, luckily it booted back to windows after that with no noticable issues.
