So when I first got his on Christmas, my start page was full of apps, now I only have these 3: Internet Explorer, Store, and Desktop. What happened? There are apps in the apps section of my computer but none of them are the ones that were there the first day.

why is it so hard for them to just answer a question? And they wonder why nobody wants to use the edge or explorer. I am trying to like it and know it. But without ad blocker they can't be doing My music. that leaves them only Facebook and twitter because I can't trust them for eBay and Amazon. So I still haven't found the answer. And they totally screwed up my files for a brand new desktop moving Word here. I didn't need 100K plus settings from a HP laptop on My Lenovo Desktop (IBM works great) <<<Don't ever buy HP trust Me. 2+ years with every possible option and they couldn't manage a backup of files correctly. I could whop them good... and still will. Microsoft went ahead and updated/crashed My HP on purpose (knowing it couldn't handle it) (suggestion uninstall updates manually and block all from further automation) and the damn screen is busted. 5K hours of work still in it.

why is it so hard for them to just answer a question?

    1. Are you using Windows 8?
    2. Is the current year 2012?

If the answer to either question is "No," you should have started a new thread with your question rather than replying in a thread for Windows 8 that began more than four years ago.  Go to the top of the page and click on "Ask the community."

Me too. Why? I just had to hold down my on button because my screen was locked for 26 hours. The computers are not cheap, and its very frustrating to have to go through all this nonsense. How do I retrieve my apps for my start page?
