So when I first got his on Christmas, my start page was full of apps, now I only have these 3: Internet Explorer, Store, and Desktop. What happened? There are apps in the apps section of my computer but none of them are the ones that were there the first day.

Hi, sherrybanks - as I said in my earlier recent replies, this thread was started over five years ago yet Users are still having these problems. And there are many other such threads where hundreds are seeking help.

It's obvious that we've all been abandoned by Microsoft-badged employees. Just as bad in my opinion, Community experts who undoubtedly have the knowledge to help haven't been here apart from one and he's been mildly sarcastic to lesser mortals (aka Microsoft customers).

The reason that this thread lost traction--if it ever had any--is that it quickly became a mish-mash of different problems with different versions of Windows and with hardly anyone actually explaining the problem(s) that they were having.  Witness the person you replied to.  She said "My question of what happened to my apps on my start page was not answered in any way."  She didn't ask a question in this thread (I checked through the whole thing) and she now hasn't told us what version of Windows she's using or what, precisely, she means by "apps on the start page."  We're all just supposed to guess.

Agree Jim it is a mash of all sort of problems----here is the problem--no one at Microsoft cares.

This a peer-to-peer community with little or no participation from direct Microsoft employees.  If a person really cares about getting help here, it stands to reason that the person would share pertinent details when posting their question(s) and look at the date of the original post in the thread to see if it makes sense to ask a question in a thread that's years old.
