So when I first got his on Christmas, my start page was full of apps, now I only have these 3: Internet Explorer, Store, and Desktop. What happened? There are apps in the apps section of my computer but none of them are the ones that were there the first day.

Im being told after you upgrade to ten you can not go back to 8 I pray this isnt true al my stuff is gone...I paid 700$ for my computer to have all the office apps and business stuff on it for our business and now Im stuck with nothing but the documents i had and that sthe only way i even get to use microsoft word. I pay a monthly subscription for Home360 and I cant even use it. I get charged 9.99 a month and cant even get into it to cancel it because i can fint it to cancel my account. I am  begining to see a huge lawsuit coming up if microsoft doest start alleviating some of these issues.

I have had this problem with both my desk top and my laptop. My apps used to pop up (I guess it's called a "Jump List" ) from my startup bar (by clicking on the little windows logo in the left corner) with just a click. But when windows 10 runs an update, there is a glitch and it loses my apps (actually the whole Jump List goes away) and complete use of Cortana. I have to right click (on the windows logo) to even power off the computer. It has happened 3 times now and each time I end up having to take my computer in the the repair shop to have it fixed. Like I said, it has happened to both the laptop and the desktop computers.  Your suggestions to fix are absolutely no help either. The computer repair guy tried to use your suggestions to no avail. He has had to uninstall Windows 10 and reinstall it again. Only to have the problem pop back up again with the next big Windows 10 update.  Windows 10 has been nothing but a pain in the tush since I got it put on both of my computers. I am extremely disappointed with Windows 10.

Don't write to me any longer.  I don't know what you're referring to. This subject is done.
