Where did my apps on the start page go?

So when I first got his on Christmas, my start page was full of apps, now I only have these 3: Internet Explorer, Store, and Desktop. What happened? There are apps in the apps section of my computer but none of them are the ones that were there the first day.

    I downloaded Windows 10 on Aug 11, 2015 but lost all desktop icons.  Now I cannot identify "close", "mark for", delete, or anything else. How do I fix his?

    Me too, all my apps are gone. I've had this comp for over a year. What happened? Dee

    Y'all may have noticed, or perhaps not, that this is a Windows 8 thread that was initiated more than four years ago.  If you have a Windows 10 problem, start a new thread with your question(s).

    Me too. Why? I just had to hold down my on button because my screen was locked for 26 hours. The computers are not cheap, and its very frustrating to have to go through all this nonsense. How do I retrieve my apps for my start page?
