the application is unable to start correctly 0xc0000005 after windows update

Sorry my english :)

Hello, today, after windows 7 x64 update itself and reboot most of all my applications cant start and crash with error 0xc0000005. 

In "installed updates" I see a lot of Security update for Microsoft .Net Framework Client profile installed today, but I cant Uninstall them, click Uninstall, then I see "Setup.exe *32" in the task manager, then receive an error "An error occurred while trying to uninstall <update name>. It may have already been uninstalled" :(

Also I make a system restore, but without any result :(

Any ideas?

How can I manually remove this updates? Registry cleaning or something else?

You have hacked or infected files on your computer.

Check your BCD and do the below fix if necessary (at your own risk) 

In Windows open CMD as Administrator and type BCDEdit and enter,  if your Windows Boot Loader Path is xOsload.exe then you need to remove some files and repair your BCD.

NOTE:  you will need to re-activate Windows afterwards, so make sure you have your Windows 7 key handy.

Boot to Windows Repair - Command

Del D:\Windows\System32\xOsload.exe

Del D:\Windows\System32\xNtKrnl.exe

Del D:\Windows\System32\Drivers\oem-drv64.sys

attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s

ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old

bootrec /rebuildbcd

    Hi Scott,

    Not sure if you can provide some advice on this...

    I am running Windows 8.1

    I have the same issue, and have run BCDEdit.  However my path is \WINDOWS\system32\winload.efi

    Any ideas?

    First off thank you in your relentless pursuit of trying to get this issue resolved for several users.

    I have just staged 2 brand new laptops for 2 of my users (Windows 7 64 bit), both are having this issue. Basically I was able to launch my applications as normal, then the following week (after a few days off from the holidays) I am no longer able to. When I launch my application I get the same message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000005). Click OK to close the application."

    Now I have run multiple virus scans and malware scans and we are clean. I have checked the BCDedit and it shows \Windows\system32\winload.exe. I was able to locate KB2872339 and remove it but unable to locate the KB2859537 update.

    I am able to boot my application in safe mode, but unable to in normal Windows 7.

    My application has been uninstalled and re-installed several times, no luck. I have run a system restore with no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Try downloading and running Rkill,  see if it reports possible problems with your kernel files.

    I would guess that you have the same problem as most people here, but your kernel files haven't been renamed.     Did you have to activate Windows in the normal way, or did it just activate it's self?

    Rkill found no trouble, still having the same issues. 

    I run windows 7 normally, am able to run and activate most programs. My affected programs are able to be launched in Safe Mode only.

    I'm assuming somehow this is related to Windows Update, other than that, I've really done nothing to these laptops except install some programs off and on our network (very basic stuff: outlook, pdf viewers etc).
