Original title: windows mail on W8 to windows live mail?

I hate the mail program on my new laptop, Windows 8.  How can I change the email program to Windows Live Mail as I use with Windows 7?

  1. Are you referring to mail app in Windows 8?
  2. Are you trying to use Windows Live mail instead of mail app?

    Do a search for Windows Live Mail for Windows 8.  (It should be Windows Essentials 2012) Then when you have it download it and run it.  When you open the program it will say whatever folder you are in plus it will say Windows Live Mail.  This is funny but the older version had the folder then Windows Live Mail at the topleft.  With this one it shows the folder and Windows Live Mail centered at the top.

    Thanks for the information on windows live mail but can u tell me how to delete windows essentials after getting windows live mail downloaded.  I have a new lap top running windows 8.1 and I am not very computer save.
