Original title: windows mail on W8 to windows live mail?

I hate the mail program on my new laptop, Windows 8.  How can I change the email program to Windows Live Mail as I use with Windows 7?

  1. Are you referring to mail app in Windows 8?
  2. Are you trying to use Windows Live mail instead of mail app?

    I'm not sure you understood the question.  I want to delete Windows Live ESSENTIALS from my new laptop with Windows 8 and use Windows Live Mail instead.  The Windows 8 Live Essentials is the worst email program you have had in the 20 plus years I have used Windows!  None of the web pages address this specific question or solution.  Thanks, Barbara Looney

    I have Windows Live Essentials on my laptop and use Windows Live Mail on my desktop.  I want that program on my laptop rather than the Essentials program.
